Welcome to the IP Multicast Project Homepage

Feel free to browse our webpage which contains the following: background information on IP Multicasting, our multicast test program, the research paper for this project, a set of helpful links, and contact information for all those who participated in this project. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears has gone into this project so it would mean a lot to us if you wondered around a bit. For the past 10 weeks, we have been testing the efficiency and reliability of IP Multicasting over a wireless network. We set up a test bed in 116 Engineering Building West (located on 6th St.)and developed a program which transmits strings of data over a multicast group then receives it at the other end. Note: The meat of the site is located within the background and program sections.
